I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on SolarMap project in the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics at Dublin City University (DCU).
My background is in Earth and Planetary Science. My research area include Geology, Geomorphology, Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing, Light Pollution, and Solar Prospecting.
I am the Kinsella Assistant Professor in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing at Trinity College Dublin and I lead the Trinity Geospatial Research Group

My research is focused on using GIS and Earth Observation to study land use change, terrestrial carbon dynamics, habitat mapping and renewable resources.
I am a Full Professor in the School of Electronic Engineering at DCU and CEO of the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics.

My focus of research is in multimedia content analysis, computer vision, machine learning, information retrieval, artificial intelligence, smart cities and environmental monitoring.
